Rajiva wins bronze at Asia Masters athletics

Sri Lanka’s Shot Putt champion (Age Category 60-64), Rajiva Wijetunge won a Bronze medal for Sri Lanka at the 21st Asia Masters Athletics Championship 2019, held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia recently. Incidentally, this is the second Bronze medal he has won at the Asia Masters Athletics Championship. His first Bronze was won in 2006 in Bangalore, India for the Discus Throw (Age Category 45-49).

Currently, he is ranked No. 1 in the Shot Putt in his respective age category and is ranked No. 3 in the Discus Throw. He is ranked second in table tennis in his respective age category.

Being an all-round sportsman, Rajiva has won 26 international medals in athletics and table Ttnnis for Sri Lanka.
